MARK-MAKING
In assignment 1, I am going to complete a mark-making task. Thus, I started my assignment by searching some objects such as leaf, egg tray and toothbrush to make the pattern.
I used 6 types of leaf from my mother's garden to create the mark.

Toothbrush is also a good choice to make different patterns by brushing it from different motions and directions.
The last object I used is the egg tray.
FINAL ABSTRACT ARTWORK
PEACE OR WAR
The name of this abstract art is Peace Or War. I get inspired by a documentary  called The Syrian War. I was shocked and heart-breaking when I see the life of an Syrian child who lives in the war. There's are no colorful balloons, toys and delicious cake in his life. The only thing he knew is war. At the upper part of the artwork, I use colorful colors to describe the life of a child who lives without wars.  The child is surrounded by people who love him and things he loves. In contrast, at the lower part of the artwork represents the life of the Syrian child. Black symbolize weapon used in war and red symbolize the blood of the victims. The child experience fear, sadness and disappointment at a very young age. In this artwork, I want to express that Peaceful is very important, we have to tolerance with each other to prevent misunderstanding that may lead to the occurrence of war.
